| i have 10 days of classes left this semester...actually ever! stoked.
also stoked about going to blacksburg to watch the hokies:
- thursday nov. 6 vs maryland
- saturday nov. 22 vs duke
- saturday nov. 29 vs virginia
also stoked about going to see relient k and family force 5 on november 30 with the ladyfriend. i saw ff5 just a month ago, and i haven't seen relient k in 3 years.
i have a new music project but it's kind of a secret. it's something new for me that i've been wanting to do for quite a while now.

| school started today. it was my last, first day of college ever. and boy it has only gotten harder to sit down and listen to someone talk about what i will be learning to do in the future. i am not saying this in any humorous way, but i really do not think i have learned much of anything in college except that a true education comes from being out in the real world with work experience and people skills, not in a classroom going through the motions.
this summer was great. maybe the best ever. it was very... fulfilling. but it is funny how the things that made this summer great i had never really gotten to experience before. however if there was anything bad about this summer, it related to the things that used to make summers so fun.
haha! a text just made me laugh really hard.
anyways, i never did get around to recording much this summer. i started a couple songs and never did finish them. i kind of lack the motivation right now. i'm always obsessed with thoughts about music, but if i can't dedicate a lot of time to it, it depresses me to work on it. so this summer, i had lots of ideas, i just didn't have the time. so basically i'm tortured with all these thoughts about what i'd like to be doing with music, but i know i don't have the time to put towards doing it right, so i'm unmotivated to get too involved right now. i'll be spending more time on my alternative hobby this fall i think which involves barbells, dumbbells, and protein.
ooh speaking of that monday night raw was critically rad. it was the perfect cherry on top to my summer.

| things that rule about this summer: 1. hanging out with hayley 2. mexico mission trip 3. having free time 4. having time to exercise a lot 5. going to the beach in july! 6. going to monday night raw in knoxville on august 4th! row 18 baby.
things that blow about this summer: 1. summer school in june and july 2. my summer job only lasting 3.5 weeks in june compared to the 6 week one i was supposed to get. 3. not playing in a band (although i don't miss the scene or hideaway) 4. not getting credit where due (but in a way i like it this way, it's like my secret to the world)

| so here's a quick update on what's new...
i started back to work monday as the p.e. teacher for the summer program at keenburg. i get payed to conduct three 45 minute classes in the mornings and the rest of the time i just shoot ball. pretty rad i guess but i still wish i wouldn't have been screwed out of my original position. i won't make as much money doing this.
i started my read 3200 summer class this week too. i've got a bunch or reading to do, a few tests, a tutoring paper, and a 40 page classroom management paper to do within the next month. plus the teacher is an arrogant jerk.
on a good note though mexico was a fun trip. we didn't work as much as i would have liked to. basically we spent the mornings getting our stuff together and driving across the border to matamoros. then we would stop at a taco stand or somewhere to eat. in the afternoons we did various tasks like painting, cinder block, weed-eating, etc. then from 6 to 8 every night we did a bible school.
i definitely want to go back to mexico soon. but i want to brush up more on my spanish (although i knew more than anyone in our group) and i'd like to go down with maybe like just 5 other guys... no girls... no offense to any girls reading....but there are several reasons why i think it would be better that way. anyways there's a lot more i could say about the trip and it's all positive but i don't want to spend too much more time on this thing to be honest. if you want to know more just ask...but preferably not on here.
i'm out like a mexican in got-cha.
ps: one of my favorite memories was playing got-cha with the mexican kids after church. pss: i dunked over a mexican.

| school's out and i'm loving it. all a's and one b with the exception of one class. never take sports management for the heck of it. my teacher screwed me over.
anyways, there's a lot of good movies coming out now days. the love guru looks amazing. ironman was good, but i think the new batman will be my favorite action movie of the year.
i got two good cd's last week too. the new forever the sickest kids is pretty refreshing for me.. a little whiny for my taste at times but still it's an okay cd. most importantly i bought the new def leppard cd last week. i really like the single nine lives. it has a country twang and even features tim mcgraw. i'm honestly into the idea right now of starting a 60% rock 30% country 10% pop band right now. basically i'm thinking boston with a little of today's pop with some serious tennessee twang. i mean if i'm from tennessee, i want my band to sound like it.
i'm leaving for a mission trip to mexico saturday morning. this is the least excited i've been about a mission trip because i like stuff i can sink my teeth into. in inner cities there's tons of people to talk to and tons of places to work. in mexico we're not going to be doing much physical work contrary to what i thought and the little spanish i know about riding elephants, drinking milk, and small genitalia will come in no good. but most the adults who have went have liked it so we'll see i reckon.
i'll update in june, peaceout maniacs.
